CHOOSE YOUR WAY

Image
Hello all, Actually, our brought up is a little bit complicated and tricky in South Asia, parents put their incomplete desires to their children in the shape of toys or fun-based activities. Children learn and absorb from their surroundings. Whatever parents provide them, they made up their minds accordingly. Our incomplete desires or unachieved goals are like we want to be a doctor, singer, architect, or engineer but circumstances lead us to be a banker, teacher, or a 9 to 5 employee. So we made up our mind to complete this ambition in our children.  As parents, we manipulate our children to promote their interests according to our will. These activities draw the attention of a raw mind of a growing kid and later they became keen on this behavior. Well, I am not saying that these are not good activities; sometimes it is necessary but not always. My concern is that we make them restricted to a few things and set patterns. I think that is the reason in the third world, that tho

THE SUMMER IS HERE

Image
The summer is here for at least six to eight more months, during the schedules of electricity shut down and hot air, the day long, we often forget the cool breeze of winter, the festivity of spring, and the falling leaves of autumn. Our top priorities are to check the water level of our batteries for UPS so that we can survive the long, hot, and sunny days of summer.  There are some remedies to control the severity of the season and people manage it in their own ways. A good thing to lighten the effect of hot weather is watermelon; people love to eat more and more watermelons to keep their minds cool. Oops! What have I done? I reveal the secret of the survival of a common man in the hot summer. This is the cheapest fruit until the time that is away from officials’ sight. I think they do not know the benefit of this fruit otherwise it will surely be levied with a lot of taxes and send beyond the reach of poor people. Summer is a season when we all desperately waiting for all ki

STREET CHILDREN

Image
Hello all, We observe many children wandering in the streets, they collect many re-usable items out of the trash for their earnings or beg all day long. According to statistics, the count of these children has reached almost 1.2 million in Pakistan. I think the count is more as we observe no survey in past many years. Approximately all of them are illiterate and homeless, due to many circumstances. Most of them are the children of homeless parents and a lot are run away from their homes, escaping from impropriate, abusive and violent attitudes of their parents or guardians. How one soft and a sympathetic-hearted person can oversee these barefooted children; doing work apart from the severity of the weather, whether it is hot or cold? They have no time to play, many beggars play and enjoy with each other while the traffic signal is green and starts to work as it turns into red. They have been deprived of all the basic needs i.e. food, cloth, education, home, and a better fut

EUNUCH - STRUGGLE FOR RECOGNITION

Image
Hello all, Recently, I have watched T.V drama on “ARY digital” with the title “Khuda Mera Bhi hai” meaning “God is mine too”. The subject was acceptance of eunuch as a child and a citizen. Most civilized countries have no issues in this regard, people with this gender are living a satisfied life there but in Asia, this gender is not treated as they deserve. We have a discriminatory attitude towards them. There was an era when they have respectful status in the palaces of Mughal emperors. In our society, a lot of people want to hear this sentence at the time of delivery “congratulations, it is a baby boy”, there are few who are satisfied with a baby girl but the situation worsens when it is the third gender. Most parents refuse to accept such a child right after birth. They think that it is shameful to accept them and that society will make fun of this incident.  People assume such parents as unhealthy in a way that they are unable to give birth to a boy or a girl. This is

ORGANIC FOOD

Image
Hello all, In South Asia, most parents are unhappy with food these days, they think it is impure. They have reservations regarding the growth of human foods; the chemical sprays and latest techniques to grow more food have destroyed their nutrient values. They think most of the diseases are due to the chemical sprays on fields that are difficult to remove even after a thorough wash. They used to say “Alas! Food was pure in our times”. This disappointment is due to the difference in techniques; once the vegetables and fruits were grown in organic fertilizers. No pesticide, no preservatives; all pure and natural. Apart from going in-depth, the latest techniques are necessary for more food to fulfill the increasing requirement of the growing population. This is a source to grow more economical food for those having fewer resources. But we have not lost the chance; we still have it i.e. by growing our own organic food in our kitchen garden. We can do it on our own or can choose somep

UNNECESSARY EXPENSE OVER MARRIAGES

Image
Hello all, Marriage is a social contract to bring two people altogether. It is a beautiful feeling and experience to enjoy the company of a new one in a romantic and loving environment. In Pakistan and India, mostly mediocre used to raise this topic and make fun by telling jokes on this topic or by making plans with their children since childhood. For most girls in remote areas, the favorite activity is to make arrangements for their doll’s marriage. The reason for this all is just to make them more curious about this relationship. That is why; this day becomes very memorable and full of excitement for all. Brides and grooms wish to make this day so special that it would remain in their memories as a mark of joy. In our society, the tradition of “Salami” by relatives is very popular. It is a contribution to the parents of the bride and groom to make arrangements for marriage. This “Salami” is according to the bonding of the relationship; the closer you are; the more contr

TO BE CONTINUED......

Hello all, “TO BE CONTINUED…..” I don’t know why but whenever I saw these words at the end of any T.V program; I felt excited. It brings me to hope that there is still something additional that could be more informative or entertaining. I like all sequels of movies; thrilling, science fiction, or romantic type. I love to watch every part whether the first one was good or not. I think there is always a chance for excellence and as it is said: “THE SHOW MUST GO ON!”. Life is a teacher that taught us silently to grab the experience through passing moments. Continuity is also a lesson for me, I never gave up. At the end of every chapter of my life, I had a hope that there is still something more interesting and meaningful on my way ahead. What is needed is the struggle, wait, and not lose hope. It is my perception towards life that death is the only end and before that, there is no finish.   Disappointment is a curse that pulls out all our positivity and lets us wanders i
