FESTIVITY OF BASANT

Image
Hello all, Festivals are meant to give pleasure to people. They are not only a source of enjoyment but also create a positive image of a nation. They also promote the culture, food, and traditions of the natives. In modern times, festivals have also become a source of business promotion, whether it is on a town level or at an international exhibition. I opened my eyes to Lahore city, where “Basant” was one of the most popular festivals of the spring season. “Basant” is a festival that has been celebrated in the subcontinent, especially Punjab, for a long time. Hello all, Happiness and enjoyment never come from an outer source; they are within us. If we are light in mood, we are happy, and if we are heavy, then it is sadness. Everybody has his own perspective towards life. The versatility of life...

We overthink a lot and make up our minds according to what we think often. These kinds of beliefs are very common in our daily routine. These are called superstitions and vary from area to area. Many times, they have no similarity between them, but the purpose is the same: "superstition". Another reason for these superstitions is that many clever and manipulative people spread their self-created myths among simple and illiterate people and influence them to believe them.  The worst I ever read was in stories where men or women were being burnt due to the belief that the victims were involved in witchcraft. It was a common way to take revenge on somebody.  In the sub-continent, there are many superstitions believed to be true; actually, those are not, because we do not have any concrete argument for their validity. Here I want to mention a...
