KIDNEY TRADING

Image
Dear all, Donating something for someone’s betterment is a noble cause and a significant action. Only kind-hearted people can do the same to prove themselves to be true human beings. Donations are not restricted to cash or movable property, but people sacrifice their body organs for other treatments. There are many examples of people who declare a will to donate their body parts like eyes, kidneys, heart, liver, etc to various needy patients. Due to the latest research and technology, it has become very easy for surgeons to transplant the said organs to donees. When we talk about kidney donation, we observe that most of the time, it is preferred that the donor should be a close relative. A close relative may avoid many complications in a kidney transplant. On the other hand, if the donor is an outsider, then it takes a lot of checks before the procedure. Blood and tissue match is a common term, and there are many more precautions. But both ways are popular for this procedur...

WATER SCARCITY

Image
Hello all, We have almost 2/3 of our planet covered with water, but still, we are facing water scarcity. Well, it is a shortage of fresh drinking water that is required to fulfill our nutritional needs and health. According to various surveys, around 1.2 billion people are facing this situation. At a rough count, it is almost 1/5 of the total world population. People living in urban and remote areas both are facing the problem in different ways but in remote areas, it is worse. Mostly in remote areas, there is no water filtration system available to fulfill their needs. This severe condition constrains them to use polluted and unhygienic water from ponds, canals, and rivers. Ponds appear with rainwater; they are bowl-shaped or pool-type area that collects the water during the rainy season. Both animals and humans drink and use the water from the same place, leading to different diseases. An old way of obtaining a water source is to dig a well for freshwater but it is no...

MOTHER - A SELFLESS RELATION

Image
Hello all, We live with many relationships, but there is no one like a mother; the most loving and caring person in the world. All others are made of the same elements, but the mother is made with some special qualities like love, care, sacrifice, patience, humility, devotion, guidance, and selflessness. She is our first ever contact in the world. She defines the world to us when we are in her lap. She loves us to grow, teaches us to find new ways, advises us to build our character, forbids us from going into false ways, and keeps praying for us throughout her entire life. We cannot find such a person who has no ambition to get back in return for her sacrifices. Today is Mother’s Day, but we should give all our days to our mother so that she can feel proud of what she has brought up; whatever she taught us is not wasted yet. In our journey in life, we meet so many people who are dissimilar from each other, and their priorities are also not the same. But a mother’s love is...

SOUND POLLUTION

Image
Dear all, Silence is necessary on different occasions. Whenever you want to think, write, sleep, watch a movie, or listen to your favorite track, silence is a requirement of the atmosphere. But it is quite often lacking in big cities, except in posh or lavish areas. Most parts of the main cities are now crowded with people and vehicles all around. These congested areas have no corner where one can live with peace of mind. How can one apply the mind to a thoughtful job when there is noise and crying all over? We can observe the “Silence” signs in different public areas like libraries, cinemas, offices, and study institutions. But we maintain silence in libraries only; all other areas are open to talking and making noise. On a cheerful occasion like a wedding, people try to forget all the limitations. This is a special time when people do not care about any other leisure time. Normally, in South Asia, it is a trend to play music in full volume on and before wedding days....

DIY-LEARN AND ENJOY

Image
Hello all, DIY (Do it yourself), is my favorite tutorial and a blessing for everyone. It is a good medium for sharing and learning about new things. When you start searching for “how to make a scented candle”, you can find a lot of tutorials on the same subject with different durations. DIYs have become a necessity of life, especially for housewives; some years back they needed an expert for various tasks at home. Now, due to the internet world, you can find all help on your mobile screen in an easy way. This help is indeed no less than that of any other expert. I personally prefer short-time tutorials which are concise and elaborative. As we are always running out of time and are in a hurry, such tutorials really suit us. Actually, the reason behind it is that if I am keen to learn about anything, I can grasp it with glimpses and do not need a complete explanation. Due to DIY, I have learned and made many things at home and repaired my car scratch well. One can becom...

CHOOSE YOUR WAY

Image
Hello all, Actually, our upbringing is a little bit complicated and tricky in South Asia; parents put their incomplete desires onto their children in the form of toys or fun-based activities. Children learn and absorb from their surroundings. Whatever parents provide them, they make up their minds accordingly. Our incomplete desires or unachieved goals are like wanting to be a doctor, singer, architect, or engineer, but circumstances lead us to be a banker, teacher, or a 9-to-5 employee. So we made up our minds to fulfill this ambition in our children.  As parents, we manipulate our children to promote their interests according to our will. These activities draw the attention of the raw mind of a growing kid, and later they become keen on this behavior. Well, I am not saying that these are not good activities; sometimes it is necessary, but not always. My concern is that we restrict them to a few things and set patterns. I think that is the reason in the third world that t...

THE SUMMER IS HERE

Image
The summer is here for at least six to eight more months; during the schedules of electricity shutdowns and hot air, the day long, we often forget the cool breeze of winter, the festivity of spring, and the falling leaves of autumn. Our top priorities are to check the water level of our batteries for the UPS so that we can survive the long, hot, and sunny days of summer.  There are some remedies to control the severity of the season, and people manage it in their own ways. A good thing to lighten the effect of hot weather is watermelon; people love to eat more and more watermelons to keep their minds cool. Oops! What have I done? I reveal the secret to the survival of a common man in the hot summer. This is the cheapest fruit until the time that it is away from officials’ sight. I think they do not know the benefit of this fruit; otherwise, it will surely be levied with a lot of taxes and sent beyond the reach of poor people. Summer is a season when we are all desperately ...

STREET CHILDREN

Image
Hello all, We observe many children wandering in the streets; they collect many reusable items from the trash for their earnings or beg all day long. According to statistics, the number of these children has reached almost 1.2 million in Pakistan. I think the count is higher, as we have not observed any surveys in the past many years. Approximately all of them are illiterate and homeless, due to many circumstances. Most of them are the children of homeless parents, and a lot run away from their homes, escaping from inappropriate, abusive, and violent attitudes of their parents or guardians. How can one soft and sympathetic-hearted person oversee these barefooted children, doing work apart from the severity of the weather, whether it is hot or cold? They have no time to play; many beggars play and enjoy with each other while the traffic signal is green and start to work as it turns red. They have been deprived of all the basic needs, i.e., food, clothing, education, home, an...
