We and our rights

Minorities rights, women's rights, children's protection rights, labor rights, employees rights, in fact, human rights; are all in the discussion every day. So, our today’s topic is about them. Rights are the security under law or every person is eligible to be protected under the umbrella of the law. As the societies get civilized, they realize to facilitate common people. Awareness campaigns, undoubtedly, played a major role in it. No one can forget their revolutionist, their contributions, sacrifices and struggles to bring their efforts to a meaningful end.

Exploring ancient cultures

There are many civilizations that had been destroyed and disappeared from the earth that no one knows properly. We assume from their unearth remains that they were civilized in their daily lives but it does not prove that they had provided their people with rights. Might be, that they were like many other cruel and greedy rulers, we have read about in our history books. Actually, Emperors and rulers were not only to blame in this regard as they were too much in power, wars, and entertainment that they had no time to think about the common people. It was all government machinery that had control over the public. The implementers had always been free to run people according to their will. They made people ignorant of their rights and all rebellious voices were put to silence with brutal enforcement. But it is in human nature, in all ages, there were always rise of voices for rights and awareness. People stood against injustice.

History appreciated the ruler who had a thorough grip over such culprits that banned the people from awareness and liberty. There were examples of many famous emperors and rulers that empowered people to approach them for their sorrows and troubles. That interaction made them famous among the common people. Those rulers had shown a true sense of power and responsibility towards their people.  But it never prolonged, each and every time after such a kind-hearted king or ruler there always had been examples of cruel ones. They snatched the rights of commoners and try to rule to squeeze them with taxes and undue burden.

Do not hurt anyone

I often, never explain my lines with the historic example or quotes intentionally, because I think it can hurt someone’s feelings. A culprit in my view may be a hero for anybody. So, the Internet is there, get the information according to your belief and set your mind accordingly. Though I can narrate a controversial paragraph and get discussed and be famous, good or bad that is another thing, but I think there is already much negativity in our society. At least I can avoid this way. Then again it is against the rights of a person to criticize just for the sake that it clashes with your visions. In my view, being expressive is not to wreck anybody but it is to put your ideas in front of people so they can extract the sense and take a good message for a positive mind.

Well, coming back to rights, it is a wonderful feeling to live in an awaking society compared to old times. But it is not over; with rights, we have also obligations towards others. It is not good that we demand rights but lack our duties. In return, we should do our best to make ourselves a civilized people of a living society. We should bring awareness to others who are ignorant of their rights. This job is being done by thousands but still needed to enhance their field. There are still many areas that are still portraying a vision of ancient cave times. We should come forward and join the struggle.

Where we can start from?

For rights and duties, you can even contribute at the town level and help others. There are oldies, give them some time and care. Newcomers need information, go and guide them. Gather people for some recreational activities. Do anything positive not to show people but for internal satisfaction and in return for the rights you have in a free atmosphere. Society is giving you rights and binding you with obligations of law that we do wholeheartedly. But care us something that is self-motivated action and no one can force you to do it. There is only one life, do not miss the chance to grab true happiness.
